  Following the success of the Christmas Fair, we were able to use some of the funds raised to provide a Circus Experience Day for the children.

  Two highly trained circus performers attended the school to demonstrate their skills in the morning. Every class then had the opportunity throughout the day to try the activities for themselves. Feedback from children and teachers has been really good. We’ve included pictures below.

   

  On Feb 26^th, we held a pub quiz at the Halfway House in Challock. A huge thank you to Roger Spicer who was our quiz master for the evening. The reigning champions, the Teacher’s team, were unseated but have vowed to return next year to reclaim their throne. The evening was a lot of fun and brought together many of our parents and teachers in a relaxed, social environment.

   

  The PTA will host a further 2 events for this academic year:

   

  June 10^th, after school, there will be a treasure hunt (with boundaries of the School, Village Hall and Challock Lees).

  Teams will be a mix of parents and children. Details will follow nearer the date.

   

  June 30^th, immediately following sports day, there will be a family fun event. Food, sports, games. Again, further details will be sent out nearer the date.

  Thanks to all the children for the beautifully decorated and amazingly tasty cakes and cupcakes for the Bake Off day, which raised a fantastic £110.50 to go towards the end of year production and Pilgrims' Hospice.

  Lowry stepped back in time to the Roman Empire, learnt all about the art of war and technology, as well as meeting the Celts and the fearsome Boudicca.
