Welcome to Potter's Class Page!
We have chosen Beatrix Potter because of all her inspirational achievements and for her resilience to succeed in areas which were not usually open to woman in her life-time. Her books and illustrations are famous the world over and link closely to our literacy curriculum. We will be making our own stories and characters based on her work – we even hope to make Mr McGregor’s garden when we are studying plants!
Beatrix Potter was also a passionate naturalist and devoted most of her life to conservation issues. She left 14 farms and 4000 acres of land to the National Trust when she died. Potter Class will be learning about these values and causes as we study the seasons, weather and animals that live around the world.
