Spelling Bee competition Finals

On the 19th June, the finals of the inter-schools Spelling Bee was held.  After initial qualifying rounds in each schools' junior year groups, the year threes and fours had their final here at Challock and the fives and sixes went to Lady Joanna Thornhill school in Wye for their year group finals.

Our fantastic representatives in the final were James from year three and Alice from year four. They were both brilliant. The winner for year three was Poppy from Mersham school and our own Alice won the year four trophy! 

The second photo shows the children at the year five and six final. Alice and Zach represented us brilliantly. The final winners, in a hard fought contest, were from Chilham School and Lady Joanna respectively.
