We raised an amazing £198 this term for the Jeans for Genes charity.  It is heart warming that our children got involved in this event, and raised so much for this great cause.

Thanks to everyone who joined in by wearing your jeans!

  • Final Netball matches of the season

Sun 01 Jul 2018 Mr Lemon

What a way to finish our netball season! On Friday 29th June, our Y6 Challock team started with a 7-3 win vs Willesborough, with goals from Caitlin (2), Paddy (2) Rowan (1) and Abbie (2), with Caitlin being voted as Star Player. After a short break, we then beat a strong Egerton team 8-4, with goals from Abbie (5 in one quarter!) Nancy (1), Caitlin (1) Rowan (1), and Paddy being voted Star Player. Maddie, Rhys and Gracie completed the squad. It was a fantastic end to the season, playing two games against strong yet friendly opponents in the sun. The team were clinical when shooting, but what stood out so much was the intensity of the team's defense, man-marking their opposite players to give their opponents lack of passing opportunities and then turn over the ball. It was a real pleasure to watch, and credit must go to the entire squad who have represented the school this year, and to Ms Todd as the team coach who gives up her time weekly to coach the club on Monday and then lead the team on Friday evenings!
