The charity that organise WOW and the Walking Bus also run a Road Safety Skills package for the children.  This helps the children learn all about road safety and build a strong ‘Road Sense’.  All children will be taking a road safety skills test and will then be awarded a bronze, silver or gold award.

The test will be computer based & is multiple choice.  To do their very best, children will have to be familiar with the Junior Highway Code.  You can view this on the KM Walk to School website www.kmwalktoschool.co.uk.  The resources are called ‘Tales of the Road’ and ‘Arrive Alive’ and will give the children a really good understanding of using the road as a pedestrian, cyclist or on their scooter.

We will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 7th March 2019 in the usual way by dressing up as our favourite characters from books.

This will be part of our 'Book Week' - A week long celebration of books and reading.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who bought books from our Book Fair back in October.  Your purchases added up to £700 worth of books for the school. 

We cannot say how grateful we are! Here are just a small selection of what we have ordered.

Books are such an amazing resource for the children and with so many new titles to choose from we hope to encourage reading for life! 

If you would like your child to join in with our Christmas Lunch this year, please send in your slip to book.

If your child normally has school dinner every day, you do not need to book.

Lunch is still free for Infants and those who receive FSM.

ROAD CLOSURE

A251 BUCK ST / FAVERSHAM RD

A burst water main / collapsed road has caused closure of the main road near to the 'White Hill' turning.

We have contacted Kent Highways & South West Water for more information and they have assured us they will notify us as soon as there is more information.

We suggest you allow PLENTY OF TIME for your journey to and from school.

We recommend travelling via Charing or Chilham   

Today all the children in Year R through to Year 5 will be bringing home a form to opt in or out of this year's Flu Vaccination (nasal spray) Programme.

Please return your form as soon as possible to the school office
